There are no specific rules for choosing a veil for a particular silhouette or dress (someone will say “unfortunately”, and someone will sigh with relief :). Nevertheless, we made a few recommendations that can help the bride to determine with a certain style of veil, or find the perfect one for the chosen dress.
Luxury, decorated dress. If the bride has chosen ball gown wedding dress, a small veil with the same decor will complement the look. Or it could be a long floor-length veil with a simple decor in the same style as the dress.
Simple, but elegant dress. Wide semi-transparent medium-sized veil with a satin border or lace along the edges will look beautiful with that dress. This will help to frame the face of the bride, add her some mystery. In addition, the waves of a denser fabric at the edges will perfectly complement the silhouette of the dress.
Too daring dress. There is a way out for extravagant brides, who would like to choose a dress with sheer lace inserts, but they can’t do this because of the canons and rules! In this case, you can offer a long veil of several transparent layers made of lightweight fabrics or a single layer satin veil with a simple decor.
Dress with a long train. Such wedding dress will look good with almost any type of veil. But if the choice stops on a veil that is the same long as a train (or longer), then the veil should be wider than it.
Modern dress. For brides, who prefer unconventional simple wedding dresses, tea silhouette, elegant decoration, you can offer the same unusual, interesting veil. For example, short, multi-layered puffy, square shape veils.
Short wedding dress. One of the most important principles is - the shorter the dress, the shorter the veil. However, the decision of choosing the veil style remains for the bride: a veil made of large tulle or short, multi-layered and puffy.
You should also remember about the various ways of attaching the veil, this largely affects the final look of the bride. For example, attaching to the comb, bandeau, and hairpins. Lace hairband, which is worn over the veil, looks very spectacularly.
